Depends on what you like! There are plenty of freshwater fish that will go great in a 30 gallon. In my 29 gallon tank I have mollies(15 )and bala sharks(2) and plenty of live plants! My 30 gallon tank has kissing gourmies(2), tiger barbs(2), mollies(2 males), large pleco. Find out what fish you like and if they will go together in a community tank! Good luck!

In my 29 gallon tank I have corydors, female Betta, African dwarf frogs, neon tetras, phantom tetra and platies. They all get a long great. I highly suggest the African dwarf frog if you have a heater. They are so fun to watch and there very active. They also get a long with lots of different kinds of fish. Good Luck

not possibly the perfect set up. Tiger barbs get to be 3" and could desire to be saved in colleges of 6+. so which you does not have plenty room for the different fish. to boot they're nippy. Clown loach gets way too huge on your tank. they could get to be 12" yet they're sluggish growers. that would supply you time to enhance. yet they could desire to have buddies around. 3 or greater. attempt this. a million Clown pleco a million perspective fish 2 yoyo loaches (basically get 3") 7 danios ( I personaly do unlike danio i could bypass with a tetra like the crimson eye something that may not get eatten by potential of the attitude as quickly because it somewhat is finished grown.) you are able to desire to upload another fish like a Gourami or small 3" cichlid like a ram playstation : I even have an entire grown Clown pleco in a 36 gal tank. She is two years old. those fish basically get 3-4" max. Mine is 3". A 30 gal tank is effective for them. not all plecos get huge. As for vegetation except you have good gentle and fert do not hardship. Java moss and java fern are 2 vegetation what is going to grown on something in almost any gentle. Rocks and your clown pleco could desire to have wood to munch on. Rocks and a few mopani wood the not uncomplicated assets you're able to desire to purchase at puppy shops is right. yet will leak tannins not a huge deal it basically supply the water a tea like shade. soak it in warm water for some weeks earlier including to the tank.

some of the smaller cichlids, angel fish, mollies, smaller gouramis, a couple goldfish, rainbowfish -- you have lots to work with. if you go to the fish store look around and see what they have -- then go online to a place like aquahobby.com and research and see if you think it sounds like something you want.
you could even do salt water if you are feeling very adventurous.

community tank is best.. guppies, mollies, platies, sharks. thirty gallons is really too small for anthing bigger. unless you only want one or two fish.. maybe three.. then you wouldnt have problems.. the one inch per gallon rule is totally a myth... especially if your tank is taller than it is wide.
