It has the capability of growing to about 4/6 inch's and as normal is a river fish and the glands that controls growth is not effected by the chemical released by fish to stop overcrowding, in other words it makes no diff whether you put it in a puddle or a lake it will grow to its maximum size and is too big for 5 gallons

I have seen a grown albino shark in friends community tank, and it was easily 4 1/2 long.

You may have heard about the 1 gallon per inch rule for aquariums, which means that for every inch of fish you have, you should have at least 1 gallon of water. So if each neon is 1 inch long, you need one gallon of water for them, plus an additional 5 gallons or so for your albino shark.

If it were me, I would get a 20 gallon tank for that kind of set up and maybe add a few more neons or other docile fish that will get along with the albino shark without the risk of becoming fish food!

Good luck!

How many neons do you have in there? Albino Sharks can grow up to 6 inches. A 5 gallon tank with neons and an Albino Shark is waaaay overcrowded. I would recommend a 15 gallon tank, depending on how many neons you have.

The albino shark is from Thailand. It is a great looking fish and is very entertaining to watch.

It dosent however tolerate many fish. It chases and scares little fish and it can get irritated by bigger fish. It however gets along well with most fish at a young age.

It loves a hiding place. A cave or something similar. It however doesn't like its own speicie or the red tailed black shark and will often fight. So one albino shark per tank is recomended. It is very hard to breed.

They grow up to 15cms.

Temperature range : 22-26 degrees celcius

PH : 6.5 - 7.5

Albino sharks eat flake food, but like most tropical fish love live food. I recommend rotating the food around.

This fish really needs its space. It is only recommended to have a albino shark in a community tank if there is plenty of room and fish its size in the tank.

confident it quite is in basic terms too plenty. Neons require a minimum of 20 gallons, Cory cats require a minimum of 30, and the two could desire to be housed in communities of 6 or greater. The ghost shrimp and betta could be superb in a 5.5 gallon tank, so I recommend you discover a clean abode for the neons and cory cats or you may desire to have a important bio overload and kill each and every of the fish.
