I'd play it safe and go to the hospital, you can never be to safe with that kind of thing. If you're the type who insists on an actual point when you NEED to go to the hospital, you should definitely call emergency services if your tempurature hits 100. I hope you don't wait though, even if it's nothing serious, feeling silly is a lot better than regretting not being as cautious as you could be. I hope everything turns out ok, please add details later! Good luck!

Ok, I know all these RN's are commenting that the doc would just laugh, and that it's not serious enough to go to the ER, and they might be right, but I think that since you're the one with a baby growing inside you, your instincts are going to be keen enough to know when somethings wrong. So if you feel like you should go to the hospital, than you should; you know your body better than anyone, and you're going to know when something need to be checked out. Best of luck!

Fever At 37 Weeks Pregnant

Doesn't sound pregnancy related to me. It sounds like a bug or cold of some sort. My only advice for while you are waiting for a call back is to take some tylenol IF your fever gets higher than 101 and stays that way for a long period of time. Many people are very anti-medicine and I am too for the most part but a sustained high body temp can cause problems for baby... :)

That's not a fever, you're just hot. That is still considered in the normal range.

EDITED TO ADD:
It bothers me when people on here try to scare people into going to the ER immediately. You don't need to worry unless it goes over 100 degrees. If you're worried, take a tylenol.

As the day goes on your temp gets higher, so this time of night 99.6 is nothing. I wouldn't worry about it at. This is coming from a women who has been pregnant.

That is not a fever my dear, and the doc will laugh at you unless it is over 101 anyway. Just keep checking your temperature every few hours to make sure, otherwise chill out.

I would ask the doctor about it at your next appointment. If you have any other symptoms or if the fever is bothering you, I would give your doctor a call.

Just put a call in to your OB, it would have taken less time than coming on here, typing out the question, and reading the responses, and you would have a professional opinion...call the doc, thats what answering services are for......
