The resurgence of Lleyton Hewitt might prevent a Nadal/Federer rematch. There's no reason why a great athlete like Lleyton, who has picture perfect ground strokes (and endurance) can't win this tournament. He's my least favorite player on the Tour, but you can't count him out. Other players who have a shot.....
Nalbandian
Carlos Moya
Guillermo Canas
Juan Carlos Ferrero
Clearly, Nadal and Federer are the favorites. If they can survive a talented field, and make it to the finals, I would put my money on Nadal. He should win in 4 sets, again.

I think if Federer is ever gonna win the french, this is his year. he just beat Nadal 6-0 in the final set. That has done a lot for his confidence and half of tennis is mental so i think that really gave federer the belief that he can really play aganist Nadal on clay. So i say he will take nadal out in the final in straight sets....that is if nadal does not lose be4 he gets there.

Nadal should win, he's the best clay court player in the world. The loss to Federer last week was a fluke based on fatigue. Federer is not as confident on clay, and has not been as sharp in recent months as he was over the last few years. Nadal still bothers Federer, unlike any other player (except maybe Canas). I'm saying Nadal beats Federer in 3 or 4 sets in the final.

I think Federer will win this year. He proved that he can beat Nadal on clay court in Hamburg. The fact is that Nadal is purely a physical player and he somehow lacks in technique on the other side we have Roger Federer who plays beautiful tennis, who do you think should win?
Besides you're not considered a great player if you're only good on one kind of court (like Nadal is on clay). Look at Federer he's unbelievable on all courts.

Federer will beat Nadal in 4 sets.
And you think, Irina, that Andy Roddick's loss in the first round is worth mentioning? Don't talk about that one-hit wonder again. He'll never ever win another Grand Slam.

Nadal will win. He's riding on a lot of confidence knowing that his recent loss to Federer was due to fatigue after a gruelling semi-final with Hewitt.

On clay there are another players that can win, some palyers from Argentina are really good, remember one of them beat Federer two times this year, and it was not on clay, the man is Guillermo Cañas, but there are others some Spaniars too.

Nadal is the current best clay court specialist today and would not lose in the most prestigious clay court tournament - the french open.

I think both of them have great chances to win. But I wouldn't say that it's just between them to. I believe anything can happen. I'm sure Andy Roddick wanted to win French Open too. Well, that didn't happen..

His chances are getting better to beat Nadal, by the law of averages.
