there is only one thiong on this planet that can give you instant happiness, and that my friend is real love. not that love you find at a mall or a strip club or some fine looking woman. but someone who is gonna make you happy despite your flaws. however, you cant go around trying to find it, cuz you're not gonna find real love, it finds you. nothing else is gonna give you instant happiness, it will only be temporary.

You can just do what I do. It gives me instant happiness every time! You should first buy a car, sell it, and get the money back in pennies. Then, take the pennies, (there should be about 34 million, if you got a decent car) and continue to walk to your nearest super market. Put the coins individually into a Coinstar machine and convert them back to dollars. During that, complain to the owner of the machine that you cannot change the pennies into twelve dollar bills and start an argument. At the end, say that you will not leave unless they give you a free Take-A-Number machine. After leaving the store with the machine, take your new converted dollars and walk toward any vending machine, food or drink. Since you have about Forty Thousand Dollars, you will be able to afford everything in it. Buy all but one item in the machine. Then, get on a bus, with all of the food you have. (You should have about two hundred snacks.) Ask the bus driver if you can strap your food to the top of the bus because it won't fit in the regular compartments. After you get kicked off, walk to a gun shop and offer to sell your clothes and the food to the clerk. If he says yes, decline and put yourself into a fiery rage about how the lighting in the store is burning you skin. Throw the food at him. You should have enough to just about lapse him into a deep unconciousness. The cops should arrive any second, so get ready. Since you are in a gun shop, there are no weapons available for you. Instead, use your imagination as a weapon. When the police arrive, run out of cover and imagine that a helicopter would come to turn them all into deer. If you are very extremely lucky, that will work. But there is a very slim chance of that happening. So after you get arrested, insist to the judge that it was not you who did those things, but a clone made in the Guatemalan Embassy in New Zealand. By now, you have reached jail. Get out by digging a hole. With your hair or patella.

Repeat entire process for instant happiness.

Drugs and alcohol. This is the problem of having a philosophy of instant gratification.

Lasting happiness is not brought about instant anything.

Nothing will give you instant happiness. The question stems from the McDonald's and Nintendo generation - that happiness can be provided and that it must be provided instantly. Such an attitude is extremely unconductive to human happiness.
Happiness must be cultivated as joy and involvement in the world, not as instantaneous egoistical gratification (Which leads only to deeper emptiness).

instant happiness? well if you want it instantly, then that happiness is not real. nothing will give you instant happiness. happiness is something you have to realize and come to terms with.

According to most major religions, death does the trick, but in most cases suicide disqualifies you, so if you want instant happiness, you're gonna have to find someone to kill you.

Good luck.

Happiness/unhappiness scale. Your Will is positive your Judgment is negative. A realization for your Will through your effort shall give you, at that instant, more happiness, a happiness that you did not have before. If your internal resistance is such that forces an inaction between your Will and your Judgment, then are you experiencing a depression. To regain the values of your Will and Judgment, their conflict must come under the control of your conscience. Conscience its self is Will and Judgment in their unity. The Spirit, the foundation for both is infinite but is transformation, activity and necessity. All this taken in its totality is self, but the self is not unity with its self and is therefor not a property for its self nor is it alien in the consciousness, but is alien in the same sense as it knows unhappiness. When the negative through action of knowledge is valued positively, then it is an instrument for the Will and becomes a positive force in the self. This is science for the universal humanity concept, when taken positively, is a new hope.

The Phenomenology of Mind

— B —
Self Consciousness

B: Freedom of Self-Consciousness — Stoicism: Scepticism:
The Unhappy Consciousness

Φ 207. Hence the Unhappy Consciousness (1) the Alienated Soul which is the consciousness of self as a divided nature, a doubled and merely contradictory being.

Φ 208. This unhappy consciousness, divided and at variance within itself, must, because this contradiction of its essential nature is felt to be a single consciousness, always have in the one consciousness the other also; and thus must be straightway driven out of each in turn, when it thinks it has therein attained to the victory and rest of unity. Its true return into itself, or reconciliation with itself, will, however, display the notion of mind endowed with a life and existence of its own, because it implicitly involves the fact that, while being an undivided consciousness, it is a double-consciousness. It is itself the gazing of one self-consciousness into another, and itself is both, and the unity of both is also its own essence; but objectively and consciously it is not yet this essence itself — is not yet the unity of both.
