There are many types. Here's a short list:
Entomophthora muscae infects flies.
Pandora neoaphidis infects aphids.
Beauveria bassiana infects whiteflies, aphids, grasshoppers, termites, Colorado potato beetle, Mexican bean beetle, Japanese beetle, boll weevil, cereal leaf beetle, bark beetles, lygus bugs, chinch bug, fire ants, European corn borer, codling moth, and Douglas fir tussock moths.
Metarhizium infects grubs and weevils.
Verticillium lecanii infects greenhouse whitefly, thrips and aphids.
