The economy wouldn't waver. Illegals aren't that powerful. No one would hear the tree fall in the forest.
He shouldn't have granted them amnesty. Think of all the money we could have made in penalty fees the illegals should have paid FOR BREAKING THE LAW.

The US economy is not going to stay strong just because of pardoning of illegal immigrants.
I think he is just trying to avoid what has already happened. The Mexicans and Mexican Americans, and anyone who sympathizes with them all walked. Children left school to walk with their parents, employees walked, parents, and grandparents walked. It was peaceful, but why initiate that kind of behavior?
Problem is as long as the USA is "land of the free..." everyone is going to think they can just meander over whichever border they are closest to, and take their place in the United States. Many are uneducated and do not even know there may be laws, until they are arrested. They are given the promise of the land of milk and honey.
So, they are here, let them stay. Just try your hardest as a nation to keep more of them out.
Some people call it selling out, some call it keeping the peace, some call it a disaster, and come call it the right thing to do.
Welcome to the USA, where everyone has their opinion without 100% of the information. I'm sure GW Bush knows things about this that he has not told us.

bush is selling us down the river and so is congress. this bill got through the house and is waiting for the senate vote. i have repeatedly emailed my congressmen (Illinois) and voiced my opinion "vote no" they respond with the standard reason why this is the best that they can do. they cant deport 12 million people. they say they appreciate hearing from me and i continue to get the feeling their vote is going to be yes. if they are not up for reelection they do not care what the voter (citizens) want or think.
those crappy jobs include factory jobs, village jobs, landscaping, and a large variety of other jobs. also once they are made legal, they get back credit for social security , and maybe the fine can be paid with the credit card that are being offered. and since most of the ones i am aware of drive fine cars and carry cell phones it seems that money is not an issue.

Did you contact your senators last week before the cloture vote?
Did you find out who voted to let the Amnesty bill see the light of day?
Do you know the 08 presidential candidates who did not even bother to go vote one way or another?
Have you let these people know that you will not support them with another vote?
If you are only blaiming President Bush, you do not know enough about this to make any comment!

I'm theorizing that he's doing it to try to win over New Mexico and Arizona for the Republican Party before the next election. These states are swing this year and it could come down to the mountain west (where Latinos are most populous).
He's contradicting what his party has stood for, passed legislation on, and has totally contradicted his own statements in the past. He thinks of sending them all back and then building a wall and now he wants them as new best friends (or potential new voters).
Most Mexicans and Mexican-Americans are Catholic and therefore easily brought in to the social conservative end of the Republican view. I totally believe this is a calculated idea that someone other than Bush came up with...

Corporatism Funding The Death Of Our Republic
http://www.rense.com/general76/corp.htm
There's no doubt, unless you're in total denial, that most of the U.S. Senate and Bush no longer are making any pretense of representing the American people. http://www.newswithviews.com/Devvy/kidd172.htm
This week the counterfeit U.S. Senate will once again take up the fight http://www.newswithviews.com/Cutler/michael3.htm - terrorist facilitation act being sold as immigration reform.
Last week, Comrade Diane Feinstein, http://www.uhuh.com/1calfraud/stacks/feinblum.htm
It's all about money. The counterfeit U.S. Senate has http://www.devvy.net/audio/daily_dose_17th_amendment.html
no fear of the states because the states have no representation in Congress. They don't fear the gutless cowards who serve as governors for the four border states and they do not fear we the people. These career shysters in Congress take millions of dollars from corporate America and special interest groups who own their souls. Those who want S1348 passed are those who profit from it and they pay well to see it gets passed.
If S 1348 isn't enough, another bill is sitting and if it ever becomes law, you will be forced to fund a racist, seditious, organization called La Raza; they hate America and gringos.

When illegals go berserk will your state be prepared
The full report from the Department of Fatherland Security http://www.dhs.gov/xoig/assets/semiannlrpts/OIG_SAR_Apr06_Sep06.pdf
can be read here. Anyone who believes upwards of 20 MILLION illegal aliens are simply going to "go home," then come back to get a pat on the head and a "path to citizenship" lives in a dream world.
http://www.wehategringos.com/index2.shtml Watch this short video. THIS is what Congress wants to import more of and it WILL reach your city. Do you want these illegals to remain here and import another 100 million of them if S.1348 becomes law? Forget e-mails, get on the phone and tell your counterfeit U.S. Senator: NO to S.1348, period. You can obtain their DC and district office phone numbers here: http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm

Excuse me, but why is it the President who gets blamed for this? He did not author this legislation and has opposed many details contained in it. Yet he gets the blame if he signs it. If he doesn't he his being stubborn and unwilling to work with Congress. You want to blame someone? Congress.

When these illegals start having to pay taxes, they will not do the menial jobs for the meager pay that they have been doing. They will demand more money. You think they make too many demands for rights as illegals, just wait until they are citizens.
