My dgter had the same problem at age 9 and she was very active with sports. I tried more frequent underarm washing and I went to GNC they sell a all natural crystal deodorant. It worked for about a year. And if not, my dgter, now 12 years old uses degree (it works the best for her).

If the odor is very strong , please have her wear deodorant. You don't want people teasing her about the smell. Eight year olds have more to worry about. Also if the odor is very strong, curb it a little by introducing more natural foods into her diet. I know that finding pure natural foods is hard, because with all the packaging and pasturization, really it's not 100 percentm but maybe it will help curb the odor.
