to be a factory a muscle car ,with stock horse power ,it would have to be the dodge challenger with the 426 hemi in it,those ran well over 400 horse power strait from the factory, there are others also, but that one is my favorite one,and right now its one of the most valuable cars on the market,an original one will bring well over 100 thousand bucks real easy, good luck, hope this helps.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here (kinda like the guy with the GSX) and say the Olds Cutlass 442, does'nt matter what year 66-72 all good to me. Oh yeah I can deal with the 69 Camaro also.
Oldsmobile is dead.. Long Live Oldsmobile, Screw Saturns.

that's a tough question...I had the camaro...the GTO...but really the baddest car I had was a '69 Plymouth Road Runner...it was never beat...wish I had them cars now. It's a personal preference for the most part...it really depended on who put it together after the factory...and FYI all...the corvette was not a muscle car...it was just a fast car. To tell the truth...from camaros to the super bee...they all had advantages ...like I said...just depended on who put it together and what all ya put in them...of...the '68 and '69 charger was pretty badass too. The '72 cuda hemi or 440 6 pack...too many to mention...if you are a car buff...ya kind of had to like them all.

the 69 camaro i beleive was the first that set the standard for the muscle car era. the reason why would have to be the horsepower of the car and the availability that it had to the public because of the production numbers
