Why dont mexicans take some pride in their nation?

Why have they let their nation slide so far down in the sewer that they have to come to the great satan of the united states in order to feed their family and live with some dignity...........why is mexico a total mess?

cause Mexico is actually a very rich country. but only about 20% of the population controls the money. And there is no middle class.

Well to answer your question bluntly Their leaders have a big problem with looking out for all. Mostly they look out for themselves. Second it is an easy way out. Why stay in your homeland and have to fight for the right to work? Especially when so many in the US are looking for the cheapest labor they can find. Remember when American companies all had made with pride in their slogan? Now most can only claim made with the cheapest and most ignorant of labor. It is always easy to run from your problems than to stay and fight. Look at the labor market. They don't stay on jobs very long and always are running from something here in the US. No for long though. bush will make all American companies happy and allow them unlimited cheap and ignorant labor. profits will be high!

As it is with all countries not doing well, it's the government and elite that keep the country down.

Mexico's wealth gap is worse than the US wealth gap and that's really saying something.

The common person like you, me, or Pablo don't have the control nor the means to affect government policies either way.

"The rich get richer and the poor get poorer" really fits here.
