You have it completely backwards.

Promotion of city culture, in the form of skyscrapers, reduces urban sprawl and prevents the shortage of land resources.

disagree.
even though skyscrapers are heavy, they are no where near heavy enough to damage rock. The depth of the earth's crust is too thick for a city to break through if that is what you're imagining. If you're imagining a buckle or crack forming, the question is where could the earth be dispaced to? The structure of the earth under a proposed skyscraper is well studied before building begins.

Gathering population into a smaller geo area is only beneficial in terms of natural resources. It keeps arable land available for food production. Also is reduces the amount of energy needed for the population to operate. There is less traveling, easier logistics for delivering food and consumables.
The only negative is waste managment. it is localized. but that doesn't mean there is more waste than if the same number of people were spread out over a larger area. the amount is about the same, it just has higher density.
