It could take up to a year to get your periods back unless you get on the pill to help force it back.

I had the same problem. My period returned 2 weeks ago, this was 6 months after my last injection was due but i didnt have it. So it was 9 months after my last injection. I have heard that it has taken some women even a year for their period to return so it is normal to have to wait. and everyones body is diferent. also, if you are scared you may be pregnant i would suggest you see a dr or nurse as home pregnancy tests can not be trusted as they can be affected by the depo - either showing false negatives or positives. Don't worry i had the same worries but thankfully am now back to 'normal'. Hope this helped.
