Seriously, I'm sure not all of them are crazy as loons, but everywhere I go on the internet theyre always popping up and spamming like its doomsday and Paul is the Messiah. Heres a quote from a comment on a youtube about Presidential candidate Mike Gravel:
"Mike Gravel is just another globalist who speaks about globalism and a new globe order and he wants to tax the world to further enrich the global elite.
Screw that and screw Mike Gravel.

What do you guys think? And how does it affect your view of Ron Paul as a candidate to have such a nutty crowd following him?

Axel: I'm not saying Ron Paul is crazy. I'm talking about his supporters. They seem to verge on fanaticism.

We are not out of our minds or any of the other things you have called us. Things have become so bad in this country. Most sane people are alarmed by the awful things that are happening. Just because we're not gullible "sheeple" who believe everything the mainstream media tells us does not make us fanatical. We're tired of lies, and that's why we support Ron Paul (because he's the only honest one). That does NOT make us crazy. If anyone is crazy, it's the people who have been "Neoconned" to show blind patriotism to the government, to Bush, and the "War on Terror". The crazy people are the ones who don't think for themselves or never bother to look behind the veil.

I think it's the height of stupidity for Ron Paul supporters trying to take on that leader of the polls for the Democratic nomination--Mike Gravel. This is hilarious. They would have more credibility if they would articulate their vision rather than just merely attack others with an equally futile chance of becoming president.
Ron Paul is more of a Libertarian than he is a Republican. He believes that the government should get out of your wallet AND get out of your bedroom, and to have as minimal a foreign policy as possible, kind of like when George Washington warned the US about becoming engaged in foreign entanglements before he left office.
At least Paul makes things interesting at the debates, something filled by Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich in the Democratic Party. I'm opposed to any attacks that say screw this or screw that. It shows the tenor of our political discourse is pretty harsh. We can't expect better from our politicians if we can't do better ourselves.

The Libertarians see him as a real contender - something they have not ever had. He IS smart enough to realize that he has little to no chance running as a Libertarian so he changed to Republican years ago. The Libertarians are pro-Constitution and isolationist so members of what they term the Repulicrats (both are considered to be socialist parties and in reality, are), none that I know of who are running for President are isolationists, see the other candidates as part of the problem. They're not crazy, they just want the USA to be the same way it was prior to WWI. Certainly no crazier then me and my very strong anti-Hillary bias and the many others who constantly spew off venom with left/right issues (despite both parties being left-of-center moderate and no right wing existing in the USA). Oh those horrid things called mirrors!

The only candidates speaking out against our half-Trillion Dollar Military budgets (more than the rest of the world combined) with 737 bases in over 130 countries including the permanent bases in U.S. Occupied Iraq are Dennis Kucinich, Mike Gravel and Ron Paul. None of them will have a chance because the Corporate media ignores and marginalizes candidates that are not Corporate "Players." Thus we are stuck with only candidates that can raise 100 Million Dollars of Corporate cash and support Military Empire.

adequate there are radicals in all businesses. ron paul supporters are very passionate and plenty of of them are conspiracy theorists however i consider they're innocent. i believe libertarians are well for the nation. they devise a polar reverse of socialism and can helpnus discover the core floor we'd like ultimately.

It is embarrassing to have the conspiracy crowd attached to him. While I acknowledge that some people have unethical motivations behind their actions, some people seem hopelessly infatuated with discussing them. We should focus on the issues directly, not suspected motivations.
I still like Ron Paul because he seems to be a man of principle with a voting record to prove it. He's also seems very intelligent based on his insight into foreign relations.
I very much want to vote for someone who respects constitutional principles. Most people don't seem to realize how important they are to our freedom.

Naw - they're just True Believers - you know the ones, right? And the fun part is that they're the first to feel oh, so letdown after their guy or gal is elected and reality sets in.
Don't know if you remember but the number of disillusioned True Believers in Bill Clinton must've numbered in the millions after he got into office. They thought it was gonna be Socialism Now! and instead got a fairly middle-of-the-road guy. It was HILARIOUS to watch!
