The probability of pulling an ace the first time is 4/52 (reduced to 1/13). If you pull an ace the first time and pull again without putting it back it will be 3/51 (reduced to 1/17).

Now that you have figured both probabilities you multiply the denominators to get one single probability.

13x17 is 221 so the answer is 1/221

The first ace has a probability of a random drawing of 1/13 because there are 52 cards in the deck and there are four aces.

The second ace being drawn has a different probability if the first ace in not put back in the deck. There are now only 51 cards and 3 aces left. This leaves a probability of a random drawing of another ace at 1/17. Total probability of 1/221 (1/13 X 1/17).

If the first ace is put back in the deck, and all 52 cards are present with each drawing, then there will always be a 1/13 chance of pulling an ace.

Good luck in that poker tournament.

The odds of pulling the first ace would be 1/13 (4/52)

But to then pull the second ace you odds would be 1/13 * 3/51 = 3/663 or about 0.004525, assuming that the first card is not placed back into the deck before the second draw.

If the first card is replaced, the deck randomized again and then the second card drawn then the odds are 1/13*1/13 = 1/169 or about 0.005917, slightly better than the first case.

i get 1/221, or 0.45%

assuming 4 of 52 are aces (4/52), after you draw the first, the chance of another is 3/51 because you have one fewer ace and one fewer total. multiply together and get 1/221
