I presume 16yex2 is supposed to be 16 * y squared.
That's more commonly written as 16y^2.

16y^2 + 40y + 25 = 0

This factors nicely into:
(4y + 5)^2 = 0

If you want to finish up and solve the problem, it turns out that 4y+5 = 0, so y = -5/4.

Hope that helps!
