No, if you are working legally or not this is illegal for him to be rounding your pay check down. You can contact the EEOC. Document all this information and then ask for your money back with interest. One day call your boss to the side and tell him you are be short with your pay check and when ever you are doing his job you are doing his job 100 percent and you are not shorten him with labor

Legally your boss cannot round down. He can round up to the nearest higher dollar. Alternatively, your boss can carry over the cents to the following month and add to your pay. This is acceptable legally. However he cannot round it down. However if you are on No pay leave, and the deductions amount to 150.49 he can deduct only 150.00 dollars/

Is he paying you cash... then he can get by with it... If he's taking out taxes, you can take him down straight to the IRS... they'd love to have someone like that to put under the microscope... If he's not taking out taxes, and you don't have any kind of documenation of what you should be paid and what he's paying ya... it's your word against his... so you're just out of luck, or .50... So it's up to you how ya want to play it. Good luck, and I feel for ya... I've worked with a**holes just like that... trust me, sooner or later they're gonna pay... one way or the other.

How do you know your pay is $250.50? Is this in writing, or verbal? Are there others that are in the same position as you? If it's verbal and you're the only one, they your pay is $250.

if you are paid under the table (illegal), then he can do whatever he feels like. you can't complain to anyone. is it ethical? no, but then you need to get a legal job. if you have a paycheck, then it's not legal to keep money.
