My paperwork to become Executor of a will is currently being processed in a Michigan county court. I hired my attorney in Feb. and it is now May and I still haven't been appointed yet, therefore, the Estate bills still keep building up.
Is 3 months the normal amount of time it takes to become Executor or is my attorney messin' around?

I was the secondary Executor nominated in the will. The first person declined to be Executor.

Settling estates can take time, but it depends on the laws of your state and the court's workload as well. It shouldn't be that difficult to just have a chat with your attorney and get a definitive time line for your appointment. If you can't get a straight answer, get a second opinion from an attorney in your state.
