I know of only one wee one in my life off and on who is only 2 1/2 years old, she is sweet and a bit spoiled but she knows when we play we don't scream and whine, I think she admires that I expect more from her than others. I expect her to play nice and be just a little girl.

Babies, and kids and I have always bonded. When i was younger, i'd always hang out with the little kids because I wanted to help them and thought they were cute. I think they'd like the fact that i'd play with them and not be embarrassed and snuggle with them, lol. I think they just are attracted to the maternal instinct

That I*m not all about rules, you can*t do this...or that....I actually arthritic knees and all get down in the floor and frolic with them..be it coloring, playing cards, or my 21/2yr. old granddaughter*s go fishing game. When outdoors....I*m one of them, not the supervising adult. We*ll play catch, badminton, kickball, rip and romp chasing lightning bugs, squirt one another with the hose pipe(or if we have one play under the sprinkler) At the park..we swing together...I go down the slide with them, climb monkey bars, etc......I*m their grandmother, but more importantly I*m their friend, and I enjoy getting down on their level.

I don't talk down to them hun.
I get right down on the floor and into their world.
I just make up simple pointless, goofy games that have absolutely no rules and no real purpose other than laughing.

That I'm creative and can relate very well to children, so they would feel I really listen to them and respect them.
