A 3.0 would be interesting, since they were never put into f-bodies.....

I'm guessing you meant 305? Not that it matters, because by '89 they were all computer controlled. The only way to remove your top speed limiter is to put in a new chip. These can be picked up for a little over $100 on up to $250, depending on brand and what they have done.

Your motor vehicle has the two the two.8L or the three.1L i might propose putting in 89 octane which will make you get extra clever gas economy and somewhat extra ability yet what ever you do do no longer put in 92 simply by fact it's going to make those engines ping like loopy I might desire to understand my sister had an 85 hearth chook with a 2.8L V6 and it replaced into the final time that she ever positioned 92 in that motor vehicle. even although your motor vehicle has a chip in it your engine has low compression i think of its something like 8.8to1 somewhat this implies do no longer positioned 92 octane in it. 92 octane is barely meant for best compression engines like 10to1or larger.(changed or extreme overall performance engines). And to respond to the 2nd area of your question. Your motor vehicle has a working laptop or workstation in it and the workstation controls how plenty gas enters the engine and it controls spark timing (it truly is on older autos today the workstation does plenty extra advantageous than only those 2 issues) So whilst some physique ses I actually have a chip in my motor vehicle they propose that they have taken out the old chip and put in a sparkling chip in think of of it like this you have a working laptop or workstation software and you do no longer like it so which you're removing the old software and put in a software that works extra clever. Its that comparable element somewhat different than once you alter the chip on your motor vehicle you're doing this to make extra Horse ability and torque.

There is no such thing as a 30 engine...get your facts straight before you try and take anything apart!!

If you fix cars the way you spell then you might end up with a hunk of junk that doesn't need a governor**because it doesn't run**

Your vehicle has a vehicle speed sensor.I believe it is controlled via the PCM(Computer). The PCM cuts off fuel at a predetermined speed for your Camaro.

your car doesn't have a govenor. it may have a high speed sensor that shut's it down somewhere around 100 mph and I'm assuming your car has a 3.0 v6
