Nutritional value is bad for sure no matter how much low fat or sugarless the food is. Cheap I can esp. say for the dollar menu. Of course it's easy for them to make because they are making it but when it's rush hour it's not a quick meal. Number of employees...50/50...nor good nor bad. I wouldn't know how it effects the economy. It's definetely not americanizing the world but it has an impact. Because if you go to other countries' McDonald's no way is there food like here in America. Overall a one out of five: 3.

Nutrional value- bad
cheap, easy, quick meal- good
number of employees- good
effect on the world- bad it's making everyone fat and unhealthy
It is ok to have one in a blue moon but people eating it everyday it sooo bad it's really not suppose to be like that anyway. People just take advantage of fast food. Overall I think there shouldn't be as many in America. I guess today overall it is not so hot because the only good thing about it is it is cheap and fast.

My friend works there, and he says that McDonald's is making serious changes in their cooking methods (some of which have already been implemented) so that the food is healthier. They have new, healtier oil, and already there are no trans fats in food whatsoever. Not to mention the already healthy menu items such as the grilled chicken sandwich (which is only grilled and then steamed to keep it hot) which don't require any deep-frying. Also, McDonald's has salads, and they're going to add even more healthy items to their menu soon. My friend says that the cooking methods are safe, healthy and efficient. Also, he told me that there's basically a new employee at his workplace every single day, so obviously people quit often. Fast food work is not fun. Still, he says that there is never a shortage of workers, and that work at McDonald's isn't too overwhelming. I personally look at the Americanizing factor of McDonald's with disdain. Countries are losing their originality and creativity in the food industry because of the pop culture influx of fast food chains. But hell, I'm always broke, so the price at McDonald's is pretty good in my opinion. Although I would rather eat at Wendy's. Better quality, better taste. Peace.

Overall, bad. Most of the commonly purchased items are fried foods or foods that are high it fat and saturated fat. It may be cheap and easy, but I would rather stop at home and make a sandwich, where I know what is in the sandwich and I can control the amount of fat and calories that I am ingesting. There are a lot of heavy handed condiment squirters working in the fast food business, so you can not rely nutritional facts posted, because one day there may be an employee who slathers your bun with mayonnaise. McDonald's has tried to add healthier options to their menu, but if you look the salads up, with all the cheese, bacon and fried chicken pieces, and then add dressing, you may actually be better off with the cheeseburger.

Bad bad bad.

Nutritional Value -- low end of the totem pole, almost everything is garbage.

Cheap and easy and quick meal -- one of America's Achille's heels, we as a society think this is a good idea but at the expense of our Children's health and the other problems listed below.

Number of employees -- on the surface looks good but really they are almost all minimum wage and worse yet they are all part of the cog destroying our health and the Earth.

Americanizing the world -- wrong part of us to share, we have lots of good to offer, but not this.

And here is one you may or may not have heard of, they are destroying the rain forests to make more grazing land for more Big Macs. These forests are the lungs of the earth and without them we will all die off.

Or how about this little known gem :

Did you know that part of the taxes you pay each year go to subsidizing this and many other industries ?

Yes, if it was not for this a pound of hamburger would be ten times the cost of what it is.

The list just goes on and on, you could read about it from many sources if you really wanted to know, but as a quickee, bad bad bad.

I think it is really bad. There is no nutritional value in their food. The excess of refined starches and sugar, the lack of fiber, the lack of proteins, the excess of sodium & the excess of saturated fat put their food under the "Empty Calories Section" of any nutritional pyramid.

You cannot call "meal" something that does not provide you with any nutritional benefits and that can cause you more damage than benefit ( I haven't found any).

As somebody else recommended watch "Super Size me" You are really going to see what the effects that such food is having in ppl's health.

Like everything else. Used in moderation McDonald's is great. The fat-assed losers who condem McDonald's are blaming someone else for their own problems.
McDonald's was my first job. It was the first place where many of our leaders began to learn responsibility.
With women working outside more and more, it's an easy quick fast family meal.

Hmm, I was a huge hater of McDonalds after Super Size Me.

But, that movie was the best thing that could have happenned to them because they brought out their salads & low fat range and then opened the McCafe's. And, god damn, do I loooove their coffees.
They also here in Australia donate a LOT of money to their Ronald McDonald houses that look after sick children. So, my end opinion is, the food is crap and terrible for you, but their coffee is good and so is their charity.
If you can manage to only eat it every now and then, then that is ideal. If you are stupid enough to think that their food is good for you then it's your own fault if you have a fat a$$.

A couple of times this week I went to McDonald's, and for less than $10, I got a bite to eat, talked with my wife, let my children play on the play structure for at least an hour, if not two. So I think its good.

Try the salads, there not bad.

a 42 oz. drink for less than a dollar, with unlimited refills, that's pretty cool.

"White" Irish food. pretty cool

drive through. good to go.

a couple for breakfast burritos for a dollar each, pretty cool

coffee that has been in the top 5, and has beaten star bucks, and doesn't cost you 5 dollars. GREAT

does it make you fat, yes if you eat to much,

but if you eat too much at subway, (chips, and drink, and a sandwich with everything on it) that will make you fat also.

so I say Good to go
