Are you kidding. The US public is too much into immediate gratification. We use credit cards Day & Night. Plus we have this massive debt called Social Security coming due. If we don't discover a way to replace the dwindling fossil fuels before it collides with the debt, maybe the 1st world's economy will colapse.

Sing this to the tune of "We Are The World":
We own the world
We bought it Tuesday
We shared it once with the Japanese
But they got greedy.
There's no real choice here
It's either us or them
And so we're gonna finish it
Via nukes or chem.
(Just some light-hearted joking folks. I truly believe that America is the greatest force of good in the world. America is the most generous and caring country on earth by far.)

my guessing is that the US (america is a whole continent, be warned, gringos!) is already owned by multinational corporations, so let's say that most of the "civilized" countries are. hope relies on individuals. let the countries era fall, and let the tribal age restart. this "huge human organizations such as countries" experiment has failed. they just became human farms due to the liberal economy. US economy is bound to collapse, and the whole western cultures. let the empire decay so the people can take their own responsabilities. it's just a matter of time, when humans have learnt to evolve and become more intelligent and (really) civilized.

America can't even keep her own government out of the ownership hands of the oil corporations. How on earth will we be able to own the world?

Nope.
America is on the decline while Communist China is on the upswing.
China will rule the world someday and I doubt that there is much we can do about it. Especially when you look at all our (US) debt they own, how much trade we rely on from them, and what that trade is doing to bolster their economy.

Nope. We only attacked countries that attacked us or our allies. That's why we haven't attacked Iran, North Korea, or Cuba.
Simple.
