I have a desktop computer with a wireless keyboard and mouse that hooks up to a USB port. I have had trouble with both and have replaced them three times with new ones. The ones on there now are from HP,the same brand as my computer. My question is if I buy a wired keyboard and mouse that uses PS2 (round cable) will it work? The problem is neither wireless mouse nor keyboard work. The computer might as well be dead. Please, your opinions count.

P/S2 keyboard and mouse should work, otherwise there is a problem w/ the motherboard. Keyboard works even without an OS so that you can enter BIOS.

First made your computer work properly then you can use PS2, it will work, or try with USB wired mouse or keyboard.
