Are a check and debit card the same thing? If not what are the differences?

I ment check card sorry. I'm looking for a new checking account and honestly, being 19 I've never even heard of a check card. Only debit.

They are the same thing.. as long as they have a visa or mastercard logo, then they are accepted anywhere that visa and mastercard is accepted.

The only difference between a check card and a debit card is the word printed on the from of the card. They work exactly the same way and are accepted in exactly the same places.

A check card has a Visa or Mastercard logo on it and can be used at places that accepts credit cards.... debit cards aren't always accepted online and in other situations like renting hotel rooms. I would go for the check card.

They are the same. I have both an ATM and Check card (Debit) card. My bank also attached a program to my Check (debit) card that can not be attached to an ATM card. Does that help any?

They are pretty much the same thing, except it is a pain in the you know what to write a check now. Many people still use checks to pay bills, but even now-a-days they are using on-line bill pay to pay their bills.
Both draw the funds from your checking account.
