I've been like this for about a week. Just thought that it was pms but when I took the test it came back really quick with a thin dark purple plus sign. I'm not upset about being pregnant but just cant control wanting to cry all the time. Is this normal? Do people just cry for no reason when they are pregnant? This is my first child and I'll be 22 in less than a month. Any comments will help. I'm kinda scared about the whole thing.

I understand how you feel! YES, it is normal for pregnant women to be more emotional, it's the extra hormones that your body is producing for the pregnancy. Trust, me when I say you'll be crying about the dumbest stuff! Just know that it isn't something you can control and that's okay!!! I'm 24 and I just had my first baby a month ago! I was excited about getting pregnant because my husband and I were trying to have a baby! As the pregnancy went along I became scared and my emotions took over. I cried about everything and began to think that I couldn't do the whole motherhood thing. I realize now that it was my hormones taking over, because as the pregnancy went on I became excited again!!! Just allow yourself to be emotional if your body wants to be emotional, or be tired if that's the case! It's easier when you go with the flow!!! Congratulations!!!

You are perfectly normal! I'm 20.5 weeks and I cry at hallmark commercials even! I mean really bawl! I start and can't stop! I know it's scarey.... This is my first too! However, your emotions are a really good sign that your hormones are going crazy which means your body is doing exactly what it's supposed to. I think all new moms get scared! I go from scared to excited in about zero to 3 seconds! It's a roller coaster!
Congrats on the little one!
Very Best Wishes!

Some people get really emotional, I know I have been. I am usually a really strong person but even movies make me cry now that I am pregnant. You will soon find out that all sorts of crazy stuff happens to your body and your emotions! I am happy one minute, mad the next, and sobbing soon after.... just the crazy hormones doing their work. Congrats on the pregnancy though, hope everything goes well for you!

the rush of all the hormones can do that. Pregnancy has similar symptoms to PMS and then some. Take a walk and breathe - that should help the crying. You'll be okay. Talk to your friends and family and see what you have in terms of support and be around people who love you. Be excited- *you're having a baby!!!* :D

I had my first child at 18 and my second at 19. It is a scarry place to be. Go see your doctor and there may some medication that might help you. Also, you might want to speak to a pregnancy counselor, you might be more upset about this than you think. Hang in there. I tell you what, I was way too young to have kids when I did, but now, I am 36 years old and my kids are 17 and 18 years old. I will be very young when they are grown and gone. It will all work out in the end. Please though, go see your doctor. Good medical care is essential to a health baby.

Yes, it's natural. I had episodes like that for no reason for the first couple of months of my pregnancy. Your hormones are out of control with emotion right now that you just can't help it. My niece is experiencing the same thing now too. So your not alone. Sometimes a good cry makes you fee better.

OHHHHH Yeah!!! Welcome to pregnancy. Anything and everything will make you cry. You'll be crying when you watch commercials whether they're really sad or not. You'll be crying when you see a bird fly by. You'll be crying when the wind blows. Just remember it's just a pregnancy thing and Congratulations!!!! Now take care of yourself and your baby. Take prenatal vit, eat lots of veggies, get plenty of rest, don't stress yourself out, and remember that you are NOT eating for two-just you-so don't overeat or you will regret it. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

That is one definate symptom of pregnancy for some people...your hormones are going crazy and sometimes you don't know how to control them...someone will say hi and you'll start crying for no reason! Its just kinda how it works. You'll get used to it and it'll fade eventually :)
