"Jesus wasn't white, he was black - shoot, N@%#$ still owes me 12 bucks!" - Rufus (the 13th Apostle)
(I kinda like the idea of a Black Jesus - but Alanis Morissette as the Almighty???)

Jesus was accepted as black, or of darker complexion up until the Reniassence period, or The Golden Age. DUring this period, which by the way started in a country full of lighter pigmented people, Jesus and his mother became very, very pale. Jesus is what your culture makes of him.

He was jew, not what you think of when you think modern day jews who are european in orgin. But look up the natonal geographic project where they reconstructed what the ancient isrealites looked like from skulls. They look like the modern day arabs, so he probably wasn't black but he wasn't white either. Also look at revelations ch 1 verses 14-16, it explains that jesus had hair like wool and feet the color of bronze, again not white, but not black either. I have listed some links to get you started in your discovery of who jesus really was.
