I don't think it is silly at all. I think it is very cute actually. I don't suggest Tara and Taryn but two T names are perfectly fine.

** I love Tara and Tessa. They are adorable together. **

I also like:
Tara and Taylor
Tara and Tenley
Tara and Talia
Tara and Teagan
Tara and Tatiana (not sure if they go together but like both names a lot!)
Tara and Tia

Good Luck! SD

Your decision to name your daughters with "T" is not silly. I know a lot of parents who have done this. I hate offering names for parents because I really believe that the name you give your child should have purpose and meaning. Some people follow family names and if you go back into culture and history, you will find that names were given to children based upon expectations of their future and lives. The meaning of their names was a call to them to be great and mighty. I would suggest that you look into your family history and background, or think of what you want for this child, purpose and stance and character in life. Parenting is a very special opportunity and a blessing. God has smiled on your womb and blessed you to be a mother. Your child's name is representative of so much. I wish you the best in your name selection and pray for your family.

It's not silly if they're both names you love...however, I wouldn't be too determined to have two T names, because it really limits your options.

T names that go with Tara (do you pronounce it ter-a or tah-ra?)
Tabitha
Tacy (means "silence", from the Latin word "Tace"believe)
Talia or Thalia
Tanya
Tasha
Tasia or Tasya (tay-sha, from the name Anastasia)
Trista
Tristan or Tristen
Tess or Tessa
Teagan (tay-gan or tea-gan Irish for "Little Poet", actually a unisex name)
Trisha or Tricia (both pronounced tri-sha)

hope I gave you some inspiration ^_^

I think it's nice to give your second her own identity by avoiding the alliteration, which is sort of cutesy (too much so).

Nonetheless, I like these names:

Talia
Tamara (never Tammy)
Tess
Twyla (as in Twyla Tharp - google her)
Trina (someone above mentioned it, and I have a beautiful friend named Trina)

And you can get these from longer names:

Tasha - from Natasha
Tori - from Victoria

Congrats on daughter number 2!

I definitely don't think it's silly!!! It can help bond them in an instant!!! In fact, my whole family has names with C. My mom (Connie) and dad (Chris) thought it would be nice to name their children with C's also!!! Myslef and my 2 sisters (Chassity, Courtney, Colby) all start with C's and I grew up liking it. It made our family unique even though people had a harder time remembering who was what name, even my mom. Since then I even married a man with a C name (Chris also), and we even named our daughter with a C (Cecilia). Now I'm just gonna have to keep it up and name any other children I have with a C!!!

Nice girl T names:
Thalia, Tasia (like Asia with a T), Taylor, Tonya

No its not silly to name your second daughter starting with a T also. Some suggestions are Tina and Terry. I like Terry. It sounds cute, but the decision is yours.

I don't have any suggestions but I don't think it's silly at all. My mom named me, my 2 sisters and my brother with A names.
April, Amanda, Amy and Alexander. However if one of us was in trouble she would trip over all the names before she actually called the one she wanted lol.
