This is a problem with some printers especially old inkjets. Sometimes the only way to fix this is to turn both the printer and computer off after deleting the print job first. This is the only way for some printers.

Switch of the printer. Go to the print manager and set printer/pause printing. Then try to delete all print jobs. This normally works. You should then turn off the pc. Turn on the printer and then start the machine again.

double click the printer icon and cancel all the jobs. That doesn't work turn off the printer and restart the computer. Keep the printer off. Then try to clear the jobs after the computer finishes the reboot. If that works you can then turn the printer back on.

If you have an HP printer, there is a page in the manual that tells how to clear paper jams.

It should be clear out if you turn off printer, then turn it back on. Sometimes you may even have to restart the computer. At times you may even have to unplug the printer.
So to be on the safe side...
turn off printer, unplug it, turn off computer. Then turn everything back on.

Good luck

Many times it will say "deleting," but you'll have to wait a while before it actually clears. See if that helps.

hit CTRL+ALT+DEL all at the same time to bring up your task manager (or right click on the taskbar) and then find your print in the list. Click on it and then click "end process".
