Some days my breasts really hurt and others I hardly even notice unless I poke at them.

I am in my first trimester and somedays is horrible pain, and some it is not. My doctor told me it is normal. I have went from a B cup to a D Cup. So my boobs are grew and thats why they hurt some days and some days not.

Is it normal for breast soreness to come go from day to day during the first trimester?

Yes, it is very normal for your breasts to be sore some days and others, not. Remember that your hormones are in preparation for signaling the milk glands to start their process. It will be a little while before your breasts actually produce milk, but the glands have not been in use before and your breasts will swell and become tender. If you are planning to nurse - I would encourage you to scrub your breasts and nipples as roughly as you can stand it when you shower. You will need to have them 'tenderized'. When your baby finds your nipple and realize that nourishment comes from them, he/she will bite down and I'm telling you - it can be a very painful experience if you have not done some 'roughing up, pinching or some preparation' (smile) If the nipples ever start to bleed - your breast feeding days are over. Be prepared with formula that your doctor recommends and plenty of bottles in various sizes. Best wishes to you.

yup totally normal. This happens all through out pregnancy and be careful in the third trimester when un poke them u may leak

I believe so, yes. Some days mine are so very sore and others I can actually wear a normal bra instead of a sports bra.

Yes. They are usually sorest in the morning, when you first wake up, when you touch them or when the shower water hits them. Then sometimes they are fine. Don't worry. Its perfectly fine.

Yes, its just like during your regular period, sometimes the hormones are stronger than other months. CONGRATS!!
