way too morbid if you think about it all.

Ever been to the site recently? It's covered up. Tall fences lined with tarps. You can't even see the whole any more. America always pretends to have a proud history. That's only because they forget about the bad parts. America says they've never lost a war. They've lost two. They're working on three and four right now. They want to hide where it started. If America lost the second world war, Pearl Harbor would be a parking lot today. You're dealing with a country that has hid and re-written history for over 200 years.

These pictures might not belong to the government outright and therefore a individual person or group has the right to keep them confidential. They may have had the choice and chose not to due to out of respect for families.
By the way, most of us know the world is ugly. You don't have to have pictures to confirm that. Just like you, we have the 'right' to see those kinds of things, but we CHOOSE not to see them. Not because we afraid we'll exposed to REALITY (OH NO!!) but because we choose not feel those negative emotions associated with those types of things.
P.S. If you're not in college already, you should try a philosophy degree, you'd fit right in.

YOU DON'T HAVE THE "RIGHT" TO SEE ANYTHING. I'll BET YOUR A FAN OF THAT KID THAT SHOT UP THAT UNIVERSITY HUH?! THE REALITY OF KNOWING THAT A GROUP OF PEOPLE ATTACKED AND KILLED SEVERAL HUMANS IS MORE THAN ENOUGH INFO FOR ME. GO BACK ON YOUR MEDS WOULD YA?! OR BETTER YET, CHECK YOURSELF INTO AN INSANE ASYLUM.
additional;
You don't think your parents "candy coated" things for you?! It's NOT just your world with you making the decisions. Did you believe in Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy,etc... while growing up?
YES, the world is an ugly place BUT for you to FEED OFF of it is of a "Jerry Springer mentality" Why do you think "I Love Lucy" was a popular choice shortly after the attacks?! People wanted an ESCAPE of the pain. It's GOOD for people to laugh and love.
Check your local library for 911 tribute books, Time magazine had a very informative issue also. Better yet, why not take a trip to NYC and SEE the devestation and talk to the people. The victims/families. What you are doing in posing a question like this is minimizing the act, the terror.
You'd probably like to hear Dale Earnhardt's crash death or see Steve Irwin's Stingray death.

I agree that the government does cover a lot of things up.In this case though I think they did it out of respect for the families that lost someone in this tragedy.Personally I wouldn't want to see it.The plane going into the tower was hard enough to view.I don't understand why you would want to see something like that but,that is your right I guess.Not to sound mean but,that is a little disturbing.I think there is a fine line here between curiosity and morbidity.

you really don't have any right to them. Those people that took their lives that day, have families that don't want to see pictures of their sons, husbands, etc...dieing! we all know the reality of what happened. But do you really want to sit there and look at pictures, let say of people you knew for a long time, and thinks its totally ok?

I think it may be too painful for some of the families who've lost loved ones or experienced the ordeal...and with today's media frenzy, it would be very probable to accidently view the material, were it available

You really are sick I can't believe you would want to see that. If I were the families of the victims I would not want any pictures publicized. Why can't you respect the privacy and grief of those who lost loved ones one that awful day???

How are you going to find the body person in the rubble of a huge building like that? You have to figure they landed before the building collapsed, so there's no body to photograph.
