The minimum wage is different by state. In California, if you work 8 hours a day for 22 days a month, you'll make $1320. France has a higher cost of living, though.

Well, in the USA the normal work week is 40 hours and the minimum wage is going up from $5.50 an hour gradually to $7 something in several steps including $.70 in Sept. and $.70 January next. Depending on the company anything under 36 or 32 hours is considered part-time and you lose benefits like company paid health insurance. Many other countries separate the health insurance from the job.

and in France everything is much more expensive then in USA,
people which make $950 a month should move to France!

The French must live well on minimum wage if you brag about it. Here in US we sort of strive higher and move on from minimum wage when after our first no end job.

35 x $5.15 x 4= $721 a month.
It's tough supporting yourself on that... try being a working mother (or father).
As much as people say that poor people should 'get a job' they don't actually want to pay them enough to live on.
(the $5.15 minimum wage is Indiana's.)

The minimum wage in the US is currently 5.25 with 40 hour work weeks.
However as the US has a higher GNP, GDP, standard of living and per capita income, you can keep your way.
Thanks for playing and enjoy your increasingly 3rd world standards.
