1.) Hitler came to power in Germany-I think in early 30's. They had economic troubles and he blamed Jews. The country had been down since losing WWI and he brought nationalism back with a fervor. He believed the Germans-Aryans-were a superior race and the masses bought into it. 2.) He first invaded Poland in 1938 or 1939 and put Jews into ghettos in the beginning. 3.) He then invaded other countries along with Dictator Mussolini of Italy-eastern Europe and to the north-Finland, etc... and started to build camps for the Jews-killed 6 million. 4.) We got involved when he crossed into western Europe-England, France. 5.) He made pact with Dictator Stalin of Russia and then broke it by attacking them. 6.) D-Day. We broke Germany's hold on western Europe (France in particular) and he couldn't beat us and our western European allies and Russia on 2 fronts. 7.) Japan, who was trying to take over Asia-put the wallop on the Chinese and Koreans- made pact with Hitler-they were going to share the world- but didn't trust him due to what he did to Russia. 8.) Germany lost in Europe to USA and Russia who split Germany into 2 countries-western=democracy and eastern=communism and we freed the Jews from camps. 9.) Japan bombed us at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. 10.) We dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and they surrendered-1945. The end.
