Its pretty shocking to learn that they left those kids alone without supervision at that age for 4 consecutive nights! I dont have any kids myself but I couldnt imagine doing that...no one I know of would do that.

Plato: No Im undecided at the moment about what everyones been saying about the McCanns, I just wanted to know whether it was a habit of the McCanns to always leave their kids alone like that....I am not an Anti-McCann at all Im more concerned that they find their daughter well and alive.

As I understand it, they went out on other nights too. Call me a cynic but there's something about this couple I don't get, if my neglect had resulted in this hideous scenario I would be inconsolable and consumed with guilt and from that moment on I wouldn't let my other children out of my sight, let alone go globe trotting and setting up funds etc. As they're both doctors is it possible they gave their kids a mild sedative to ensure they didn't wake up, did it go horribly wrong? A hideous thought I know, but one that has plagued me ever since I saw the McCanns on the news.

They left them every night; they have said so themselves. It was a decision they made after weighing up the options. A crap shoot, and they lost.
I don't know what the mix was. There were 9 doctors in all and five children - three McCann children; Madeleine was the oldest of the five, at 3 years old. So at least one other couple also decided to leave their babies sleeping alone while they were out every night. The McCanns might have felt some peer pressure with the other couple saying, "Hey, it's OK, we do it all the time". Just a thought.

Both the McCanns and the police confirmed that the kids were left alone in the apartment on many occasions whilst they had supper in the tapas bar!
beggars belief!
I have and never would do this!

The children were left alone in the hotel room every single night of their stay up until when the daughter was taken. I believe that they were left alone for 4 consecutive nights...
..maybe they were out playing Russian Roulette? They certainly played it with their childrens' lives....

No they did it most every night of the holiday-by their own admission.
Worse than that they didn't even lock all the apartment doors!

I doubt it but irrespective of whether it was or it was not it was gross negligence and in this country would have constituted a criminal offence.
