Gopher Poison Pellets. You can get them at the hardware store - better not delay!

We live in the country, and my soft-hearted wife hates to see any animals killed. Two years ago, we had a ground squirrel infestation that got REALLY bad, since she didn't want me to take any control measures, and those things breed faster than rabbits. Anyhow, finally I put out poison and also got a little .410 shotgun out of my gunsafe. I shot 37 of those suckers, and don't know how many more were posioned. There were still a few the following year; same remedy. This year I put our poison & shot two - I think they're all gone, finally! RIP.

Get a conibear trap. Set it over the hole of the gopher and leave. The gopher will be courious as to what it is and when it comes out of the hole, snap. a quick clean kill.
