They will check your weight, your blood pressure and take urine samples and possibly blood tests. Then they will ask a lot of questions to get your medical history. They might not listen for a heartbeat yet - it's kind of soon. There's no reason for an ultrasound at this point either.
You can also discuss any pregnancy symptoms you've been having, esp. those that are uncomfortable or giving you trouble.
Congrats!

Some of that depends on your doctor I'm sure. But mainly They gave me a lot of information like books and pamphlets on different things. They ask you a lot of health questions. Check your urine and weight. They will do a pap smear most likely. And at the next visit for me they did an ultra sound to see how far along i was. I was only 8weeks 4days when they did this and I still love the first little picture of my daughter who was only 2.4cm how crazy is that? Anyways they wont torture you too much! Oh yeah and they take a lot of blood the first time. Like 8 capsules of it! Left a big bruise on my arm

Congrats! They will get you on some prenatals, do a pap, blood test, test your urine, go through questions, and probably make an appt. for your first ultrasound. I went when I was about 9 wks for my first appt. and they said it was a bit early for a heartbeat, but they found it, so they may give it a shot. If not, next appt. you will hear a heartbeat!!!

That is pretty early for a first appointment. mostly they will do a ton of question/answer type stuff and some blood work, and a pap smear. they MIGHT do a vaginal ultrasound, but i almost even doubt that, it might be a tad too early.

lots and lots of question. they may take your urine to test your sugar levels and probably your weight and blood pressure. its simple and not scary, and its kinda fun. most of your visits will be the same after the 1st.
