Today my nephew went to a function with his school and wet his pants. Every morning my sister wakes up and has to change the sheets on his bed because they are soak and wet. He's a very, very smart kid, but we can't figure out what the problem is...HELP!!

The other suggestions are fine but include that your sister should set her alarm for every two hours and get him out of bed to go to bathroom, it will take about a month maybe two before his body and mind start to work together for him to wake up on his own. My nephew did the same thing and insulting him by telling him that boys his age shouldn't wet the bed only made it worse. You must retrain his body and mind or it will be years before the problem changes.

it's not that uncommon for a 5 year old to wet his pants or bed. he should grow out of it. make sure his doctor has seen him and knows about this. it could be a physical problem, but probably it's just maturity.
