I'm 17 and I just got my debit card for my account. All I had to do was set up a checking account and I recieve my debit card, no it's not an ATM card. My parents weren't involved at all, no co-signer was needed.

Good Luck.

NO, not except you have further her on your debts. in case you have not already performed so, get a clean card, get a clean checking account, and be certain she does not have your SS# or any credit card numbers. in case you're so prone, rfile her for illegally making use of your stuff. Or project the debits on your account and infrequently the economic employer will bypass after her for the expenses. in case you think of she is accustomed to any gentle advice, placed a fraud alert on your credit rfile so she will't in basic terms bypass and open up debts under your call. good luck.

In Canada.....if you have a bank account you can have a debit card. Go to your bank and ask for one* They will explain how much you can take out per day etc. It's not a Visa or mastercard, it's just a debit card for access to your account if you go out somewhere shopping or whatever. Go talk with your bank and ask if you can have one. My son was 14 when he opened his own acct and they gave him one*

have a job i.e. 16 is age limit for working in most states, and monies deposited in your personal checking account.

However, you parents can set up an account and put you on it, keeping monies deposited.
