I am sorry the people so far are being jerks to you.
I'm going to assume you are not looking for Historical fiction, or non-fiction. So you are looking for books with the "midevil" setting, or thereabouts? For me, that is fantasy!
I'd suggest Robert Jordan, he wrote The Wheel of Time series, which I thoroughly enjoyed. He is very good.
Cheers, and good luck!
P.S. If you really meant Arthur, as in the name, I'd have to go with King Arthur, of course!

I think you mean King Arthur. He lived in the middle ages.

It's medieval, and i have no idea what an Arthur is, much less what would constitute a good one.

not to sound offensive or anything but your grammar is a bit off: writing, medieval, author. but im not sure, im big into fantasy novels and such which often times are medieval in setting, i like christopher paolini personally. hes kind of new but he knows what hes doing

Forget it. Find another hobby. You can't write.
