I have 2 other power supplys and neither have the connectors you're supposed to use on SATA drives

As long as your SATA HDD has a molex connector cool. If it doesn't you can buy a molex to SATA adapter from your local PC store

you should have a power and data cable that came with the hard drive, if not then go get the right cables the sata power cable is a flat end connector that fits into the drive, the other end fits on to a power cable from the power pack

SATA drives use the same power as ATA drives, they just decided to make a new connector for it for some reason.


All you have to do is go to your local electronics shop and they will have adapters for you.

If you do not have the SATA cables for your motherboard, then you would need a SATA controller board.
