What are the main cities or towns in the U.S. where heavy metal music rules? This music is still ruling in most parts of Europe and South America,why not here?

LA is the music capital.
Back in the 80s you could throw a dime and hit a talented guitar player at Guitar Center. Although there are 5 year old whiz kids from time to time.
Heavy metal hasn't "ruled" LA since the 80s, it's mostly sons of blink and Green Day with some emo mopers.

i think it is la cuz we got metallica, slayer, anthrax, and megadeth
and we also have the sunset strip, the whisky, the roxy, and all these other clubs that metal band first performed at and got signed so yeah i have to say that l.a is the capital of metal
