He hasn't paid in a couple of months and lives in Arizona, I live in michigan. If I file a complaint, can they take it out of his checks?

The link is for the form that you need to file a complaint against him for non payment...find out who your Friend of the Court case worker is...he/she willhelp you. Dear ole Dad will either pay or have a bench warrent out for him. And yes FOC will submit an order for payment to his employer. It gets squirley when he is out of state but it can work.

Sure can. Hopefully you have a current address for him as that will surely save time but can locate him by his SSN if hes using it
