the problem is the "truth" is easily bendable... even if it was the exact letter for letter truth.. the spinmasters for each side of viewing it can call it false and make a convincing argument to confuse the issues Even somethign as simple as saying "it rained heavily last night" could be spun It rained heavier here.. it didn;t rain as much on this street... was almost a flood, etc , etc ,etc.. the truth is less colorful than it being expanded on in one form or aonther

The reality is that the media just tells us the news that they think will generate ratings and ad dollars. It's really that sad and shameless. Fox panders to the right and other networks pander both to the right or left based on which guy's show is on at the designated time slot. And ultimately the news we see has more to do with us than the media. They feed us the slop we hogs seem to want to wallow in the most.

If you demand the truth for a change, the media will have Tom telling you "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!"

That's a good question, unfortunately ( judging by what I see on
Yahoo answers ) a huge number of people wouldn't know truth if it bit them on the butt, all they know, or want to know, is what makes them right, or at least what they think is. Clear, concise,
cover all the bases reporting really doesn't fly because no matter how it's presented, and no matter how desperately we need it, somebody! will go off about it.

forget the media- it is irrevocably in the hands of the New World Fascist Order.
Everyone should try to inform themselves of the reality.

The main stream media have been losing customers at alarming rates because of the bias. Left wing liberal loonies control the main stream media. They think they are correct in their approach. Even the loss of customers and advertisers has not changed their approach.

That's what they're really arguing about. They're so wrapped up in their own rhetoric, that impartiality looks biased in the other direction by comparison.
