Rosie should be apologizing to Elisabeth. She is a loud mouthed liberal lesbian ***** who should go stick her head in a hole. She has done nothing but cause problems. I used to really respect her but now I can't stand her.

Rosie made it personal first by asking Elizabeth if she agreed with what the press was saying.
Elizabeth absolutely did not answer that question. She blathered on about how she stands up for what she believes in, but she certainly didn't take a stand there... she refused to answer a simple question.
But the question really shouldn't have been asked in the first place.
I think that when Barbara was there, she had more control; that's why the whole thing went on as long as it did - Babs wasn't there to stop it, and even though Joy tried, for some reason, the director wouldn't cut to commercial.
I don't see how feminism enters into the picture. Does the whole Don Imus affair bring men into question? No. This was just two women disagreeing... very publically.

Rosie was upset at Elisabeth for not defending her... (since when is that Elisabeth's job) I would have stayed and let it ride out... there is no point to try and stop something like that. i barely watched when rosie was on.I just could not handle her crap every morning. The Emmy's are unpredictable but it may help. Barbara always made it better. It does not change feminism one bit...how would it?

Elisabeth does not owe Rosie an apology. Rosie came out and said "655000 Iraqis are dead. Who are the terrorist", and to some it sounded like she was calling our troops terrorists. Elisabeth was asked by the press if she believed Rosie was saying our troops are terrorist. Elisabeth simply didnt answer the question and Rosie got pissed because Elisabeth didnt defend her.
Rosie hating our government is one thing but when she starts talking crap about our troops it just pisses people off. First she said they are uneducated (smart to follow in Kerry's footsteps), then said they are terrorists (thats how I took the statement). She said our government had a hand in 9/11. She made fun of Asians and countless others.
WHy should the other women of the View continue to defend her? Especially Elisabeth, who Rosie has treated horrible the entire time.

Rosie went overboard and owes Elisabeth an apology. (They emailed this weekend with regrets to each other and are both working at forgiving and forgetting - according to Elisabeth on the View this morning.
Not easy to walk off a live TV show like Joy & Sheri jokingly tried to do. I would have liked to slap Rosie.
Ratings were higher this season with Rosie on.
Don't think they'd win a Daytime Emmy.
It's usually more boring with Barbara.
None of those windbags speak well of women.

I think it was wrong of rosie to make it seem like Elisabeth was in the wrong here. Elisabeth did not say that she thought Rosie thought our people were the terroists. She was trying to speak and Rosie attacked!
If anything Rosie should be a grown up and not quit because her feelings were hurt.
No one needs to apologize at all

No, Elisabeth doesn't owe anyone an apology! Rosie has been known to create controversy and then get defensive when people don't agree.
She did just that on her old talk show. Her guest was Tom Selleck. He was there to discuss his new t.v. movie, at the time. He was also a supporter of the N.R.A.
Rosie spent about 2 minutes discussing the movie and then proceeded to criticize and bash Tom Selleck for his involvement in the N.R.A. stating that he and the organization promote gun violence.
Rosie received a lot of hate mail for her actions and she jusified it by saying it was her show and she can do what she wants. Her show was cancelled the following year!!

Elizabeth should apply for a job on Fox noise.
Yes, having Rosie was The Views best season.
What does this do for feminism - I think Rosie took the
high road by walking away, but that doesn't really leave
a strong voice for women's rights.
The ratings for The View might be in trouble.

Rosie is a big mouth obnoxious person who I can't stand and she is the one who brought up the subject, she is the one who should apologize to Elisabeth, in person, and on TV. Elisabeth said the right thing she has nothing to forgive. Rosie needs to think before she opens her big mouth.

I agree with having fun's comments.
Who cares if The View win or don't win the Emmys. That is just another perpetual group of endless awards shows to boost egos.
I think they felt freer when babs wasn't there. When the cat is out, the mouse will play, type of thing.
This has nothing to do with the "state of feminism".

Elizabeth should not apologize to big mouth, at all. Rosie actually believes that when she speaks, the world must stop and listen because what she says is too important to miss. She is about the worst replacement that Barbara could have hired for The View.
