Some say it is not a deterrent. But how can that really be verified? I support it but I also think the case has to be proven beyond any shadow of a doubt. And if that is the case why the average ten year wait? They walk the steps up the gallows the very next day. Now thats a deterrent. and while we are at it I suggest all executions be put on Pay Per Veiw and the repaly the next weekend for free. Pay per veiw revenues could go to a worthwile cause and the Saturday morning broadcast of the execution replay, slotted right between Scooby Doo and the Power Rangers, could show the next generation what happens to you when you commit murder!

The reason I think it doesn't work is. it's not real to people unless they see it happening, in other words it should be televised.
And lets say you didn't do it.
I figure if you're even being accused with little evidence you should still get punish, my reasoning is.
You must have done something wrong for even being accuse in the first place, so if it turns out they made a mistake... I can live with it.

There are some people who are just too dangerous & evil to be allowed to live. The death penalty should only be used when their is no possibility of a miscarriage of justice.Life in prison is not the answer, because these monsters could murder other prisoners, guards, visitors, etc,& would have nothing to lose by doing so.

No, it should be encouraged!
However, in all fairness, I should point out that Democrats believe that it should be abolished because:
Democrats believe that all murderers, child molesters, and child killers, and rapist murderers can be "Cured" by taking "Sensitivity Classes, and being given "Big Democrat Group Hugs".
Democrats believe that prisons can be shut down and closed. They are no longer necessary.

I have no problem with capital punishment IF it is administered fairly and with ABSOLUTELY no possibility of error.

No. It should be the sentence for any crime resulting in death, wether murder or manslaughter.
