if they are referring to RAM, then yes, if your hard drive isnt too full, it wont make a big difference, one thing to consider when buying a laptop, is to make sure you have sufficient innards to perform whatever tasks you are using it for, as laptop service can be costly, and even a pain if you do it yourself.

Memory probably makes a bigger difference than any other component in a PC. Going from 512mb to 1gb or even 2gb will make a bigger diference to the average user than going from a 1.8ghz dual core to a 2.8ghz dual core.
You might want to look at your video drivers and codecs.
How old is your laptop and what CPU does it have?

Firefox and Opera is obtainable for the two. i do no longer think of IE runs on mac. i'd say this could count on your determination technique. 3You can run Bootcamp or Parallels on a mac and run each and every of the computing device belongings you prefer. AFAIK there is not any application to allow you run MAC application on computing device. 4. video games are the only section the Mac loosed massive time to the computing device. definite there are video games for the Mac, yet lots of the video games are released for the computing device. In general, RAM is your friend, you can never have enough.
Be careful, however, to check that your video card or chipset can take advantage of extra RAM...mostly they will. (Assuming you are using relatively up to date equipment)
