When you inhale, it pulls down to help pull air into the lungs. When you exhale, it pushes up to help push air out of the lungs. But sometimes the diaphragm becomes irritated. When this happens, it pulls down in a jerky way, which makes you suck air into your throat suddenly. When the air rushing in hits your voice box, you're left with a big hiccup.

A week? Wow that sucks.

Try drinking water with a spoon held to your nose. Not kidding; it works.

I think its cause your brain needs oxygen or something like that.

Ask your doctor. Also eat a teaspoon of peanut butter the next time you get them, it's helped my son.

A week! That's terrible! I don't know why we get them. There's some scientific explanation for it, but I don't know what it is.

Google it.

i think thats a sign that you really need to lay off the booze...or at least cut down, just kidding....try gripe water, or drinking water upside down, i dunno what causes them, but they are so annoying, and they always come at the worst time.
