I have never told anyone this before. I miss my beautiful and wonderful half-sister, Roberta Smith (my father's daughter from a previous relationship). She died of a drug overdose in May of 1996. I remember the time that she visited our father, my mother (who was also her stepmother), and my brother (who was also her half-brother) back in the 1980s when I was a little girl. She was always a breath of fresh air and always a pleasure to have around, especially in my life. When she died, a huge piece of my heart just died along with her, because she was such a huge impact in my life.

My father. He died in 2002 from a 6 month battle with cancer. I was only 18 at the time, still in high school. Now I am married and have two beautiful sons and I know he would be so happy if he was here now. He would love his grandsons and have so much fun with them. I am always showing my boys pictures of their Grandpa John so that they will know him even though he is not here.

I miss my Granny Smith who passed away in 1978.
She took the place of my mother, who died of Pneumonia when I was 8 years old.
In my eyes, she came very close to being perfect.
I'm 71 now and when I wake up everyday, (because of her example), I can say that, " I love life."
I am who I am, because of her guidance, kindness, and most of all how she shared her love and charity for those in need, including me.
Thank you as I write this with tears of a wonderful memory.

Love..... I think it is great that you had that relationship with your step father. My step-daughter is one of the people I miss today (I think of her as my own-never call her a step). But we are living 2000 miles apart now, and I don't get to see her often enough. Sometimes I think we love those who we choose to be in our family, just as much as those we were born to.

I miss my Friend who happens to be a girl ... I love her and can't stop thinking about funny things we used to laugh about and the way she would always be there when I need someone to talk to. I miss her ... We got mad at each other and now we don't even talk...

My mother,I wish she were here so she could have a much better life than the awful life she had with my alcoholic father before she died.

My Dad. The best man I have ever met or will ever meet.
And it makes me very sad that he died so unexpectedly and alone.
I will miss him everyday for the rest of my life.

my father, who passed in 2005. Sometimes when I think of getting married, I can't think of a replacement to walk me down the aisle.
