Why was Abraham Lincoln depressed?

I have to do a speech tomorrow on Wed May 30th and I have to do some of it on Lincoln's depression so i was wondering if anyone can answer this question ASAP.Thanks.

He had bipolar disorder, he really couldn't help it, because it was a disease in his brain. Bipolar disorder is when you can feel really happy one minute, and the next minute feel totally depressed.

It could have been a biochemical inbalance or a brain injury.

He was kicked in the head by a horse as a boy. His skull was fractured and he was initially thought to be dead. You can see an indentation above his left eye in photographs. Some people think this may have lead to his lifelong depression.

umm lets see - he is the president of a country at war with itself. every day hundreds if not thousands of his citizens die on both sides..... Many in his own party blame him, etc.

Even for someone with no pre-existing issues, I suspect that situation would lead to drepression

Do you know how to go to heaven? you have to ask Jesus into your heart as your personal savior. just say to yourself Lord please forgive me of my sins and come into my heart. dont wait to long to say it because if you die in a car wreck or something you wont be to happy. and if you say there's no such thing as God and heaven and hell then let me tell you this what happens if you die and there is a God and there is a heaven and hell. its better to be safe than sorry!
