You could be a parts model or a plus size. Just how "curvy " are you? Sometimes girls say curvy but mean lumpy and out of shape.
If you are into it, a lot of curvy women are making a killing on the pin up model scene. You can find girls who do it on myspace, search pin up, rockabilly etc. and ask them for refferences.
Put together your own look and have a friend do a photo shoot (think Betty Page) use this as your portfolio.
Just be careful, as wth any modeling, never pay an agency until you get work and never get suckered by "photographers" you can do your own stuff.
If you have a decent face, you should be able to rock it.

It depends on the agency - and what you look like! Think Kate Moss - she's got a very INTERESTING face. Lots of models have interesting or unusual facial characteristics or styles.
Don't lose hope when people turn you away - to be a model you have to be very thick skinned.
You may be turned down for glamour work because of your height - I'm 5 foot 1 so I know how it feels! =P
But there are other types of modelling, including things like catelogue modelling...
Do some research, but don't be doubtful.
If this is what you want, decide on it.. and go for it girl.

Honestly we'd have to see a picture but you can be a model if you want, no matter how much you weigh.
They airbrush the heck out of the pictures you see, so those "flawless" models are only flawless because of photoshop.
I've heard that Dove is looking for "normal" people sizes. Find out how to try to hook up with them.
Go to google and search for "plus size models" and look at the images. VERY NICE!

I personally don't understand why the people in charge of models use these bone thin people as models when most women can't meet that image, and 90% of guys don't like them. Guys prefer the curvy women like Jenifer Lopez, Beyonce, and so on.

Even plus size models are not very curvy. Granted its not a womans natural figure, that is still what they are going for. Perhaps you should see an agency to see what they offer=)

Absolutely 100% not. If your talking traditional "runway model" for major designers.
You may.. and keyword MAY (and probably not even this because of height) be able to be a plus size model or do catalog type stuff.

Probably not. Not because of your curves, because there are tons of "plus" size models. But most models for any type need to be at least 5'7" at the minimum.

I Seventeen magazine often puts "bigger" teen models in their magazine, especially when they're addressing what kind of clothes fit what kind of body. They have models of all shapes and sizes - short, medium, tall, thin, stout, etc. Submit some photos to a local agency and go for it!
