Those who believe the 'neo-cons' will say yes. What they cannot and will not answer is what does a 'win' mean?
Hint: Its NOT about bringing democracy to a Muslim nation.
It IS about Halliburton, General Dynamics, and all the other companies who profit from war.
A clue: Who are the major stockholders in these companies?
A check of congress-people, senators, and admin pundits and officials will give you a quick answer here.
Sunni's, Shite's, and Kurd's have hated and warred since the 2nd century. Nothing is gonna happen from the outside to ever change that. It never has. Its a CIVIL war.
But its a grand distraction from what is going on in the USA, yes?
More people vote for 'American Idol' than president!
We either wake up and start spending the 200 million dollars A DAY! here, or we watch China slowly take over the world, and watch it become the new 'Superpower'.

Bush is under the assumption that we will win although the war did end for us once Saddam was toppled. We are now occupying a country that is mired in the middle of a civil war based on religious ideologies. We have no business losing our troops over the religious factions inability to settle their differences. I say we get out now and the sooner the better!

how can you win if you dont have a objective?
whats the point of being in iraq? trying to change someones tho of there goverment? there was no obj to begin with so im guessin when bush gets some brains and finally notices that there is no way to win , were like aliens trying to go to another planet and tell them they cant eat / dress the way they want 2

1. No this is an occupation, not a war we can say we win we are not Iraqi's. It is a civil war now. Do we pick a side?

2. Forever if the people can't put down the flags and pick up the phones and save these Girls and Boys from this mess they got these kids in. The Iraqi's want us to LEAVE why would we want to stay?

We will never achieve what we want in Iraq. We can only gain some things but share of oil revenues and complete democracy isn't going to be obtained. Iraq would be out of our minds, as soon as 70% of our troops come back. Then, a few will stay to keep control like Kosovo but the media won't report it. We will have achieved nothing in Iraq.

The only way to win is to send over 10,000 bombers and reduce that piece of crap country to a desert. Oops, it is already a desert. In that case we can't win. Get out now. It is not worth another drop of American blood to fight there.

Yes we have won and will continue to win since we have a president with a backbone and with sense to understand what would happen if we ran as the cowards in Congress and the Senate wants us to do.

We will never "win" this war and the war will be over when the corporations and politicians figured they have profited enough from it. Perhaps they will consider it won when we can build a huge pipeline from the middle east to European allies of the U.S.

They may consider this 'winning' but it isn't a 'win' in my book. There is no such thing as a "good" war.

We must overhaul our government in order to have peace in the middle east. Remember that when you go to the polls next election.

No,

you cant declare war on an ideology or culture and win, its that simple,

we went to war on poverty, and we still have poverty,

we went to war on crime, and we still have crime,

we went to war on drugs, and we still have drugs

well with those results in and well documented, what proof is there thatby declaring war on terror, we can rid ourselves of it ???

we have proven that beyond a shadow of a doubt that not only can we declare war on just about anything but we can also sucessfuly heard a large number of sheep to slaughter with media hype and spin on patriotism,

Hey, my opinion might make me an A**hole but Im a vet so I earned the right to be one :)

Depending on how you define 'winning' we could 'win' the war in Iraq in as little as 15 minutes, or string out the conflict for generations.
