Women are just as bad as men. Think microwave? It has to be a very cruel person to do some of the things, both men and women have done. But, this is reality, been going on before it was ever recorded in History.
Heck, yesterday I when to the "Meditation Chamber" (Bathroom). Darn this Hornet was flying around, caught me with my pants down! Well, I did my business watching the hornet. At least it was contained to a small area. I took a wash rag and folded it a few times so it not sting me and caught the hornet and took it outside and let it go. I assume, most people would have killed it.

People who murder are either of criminal mind, or have a mental disorder. The same goes for those who assault others in any manner.
I grew up in a violent household--it did me no good--so I do not fight--do not even defend myself (though I should have some pepper spray, etc. around in case of a break-in). I brought my children up as pacifists--but most of them do engage in fist-fights and rough-housing at times.
Males used to be the majority of murders, batters, abusers, etc.--but women have really been catching up--and that's a bad thing. We need some group of people to balance out all the bad in this world.
One specific problem is that when people are imprisoned, they generally are not getting any care for what might be a mental disorder--even a brain disorder. They get no help in jail/prison--and often wind up with people even worse than themselves.
I feel that people should stop complaining about how much building more prisons costs--and stop! Build psychiatric wards, and treat those who's criminal behavior stems from mental disorders. That doesn't mean they can be released as soon as they're 'cured'--they can still do their time under supervised therapy/counseling, and if necessary medication.

Yes, we are animals but we are the only animal on the planet that kills for things other than survival. I could hurt a fly, but another human being? I'm torn up when I accidentally hurt someone's feelings. Normally, when something like that happens, great emotions are in play and where there is great emotion there is not a lot of rational thought. That is why a large share of murders that are a "crime of passion" are prosecuted as manslaughter, 2nd or 3rd degree and are more common than the ones that are prosecuted as 1st degree means a lot of thought and planning went into it before they decided to cold bloodedly murder someone, something most are unable to do.

I was watching the news tonight and was thinking the exact same thing...but at the same time it is how it has been since the year dot and will never change.
Sometimes it is women who murder, look at Moyra Hindley and Rose West for example, but i agree it is mainly men or religion that cause pain!!

There are people and psychopaths. Also there are crimes of passion and mental illness. Then there's the mass murderers; who enjoy starting wars. What's wrong is many things. Just keep your own back yard clean, and I will keep mine the same. We cannot control the "others" which I have mentioned. Doncha think you may be a real nice people, I am.

Really? How come there are women on death row?
Get rid of the stereotype and realize that people of both sexes, of all races, have the capacity to do harm to others.
Oh, and how about the woman that hung her 4 kids and herself in Texas last night? Guess that's just a "woman" thing eh?

In certain circumstances I think it is possible for everyone to physically hurt another - what about if you were defending a loved one or fighting for your own life? I would never start something but I certainly would finish it if it were a matter of life or death.

males might be prone to be physically aggressive more than females, but females can really hurt other people in a more subtle manner.
i think being that we evolved more than other animals, we arrived at a state of killing our own kind sometimes due to competition and to protect a secure aspect in our life

I think anyone who murders someone has some sort of mental illness, or at least a personality disorder. No-one in their right frame of mind would commit murder. I think its sad that these murderers are put in prisons with no rehabilitation or support. They should be put into secure psychiatric hospitals and not be released for a very very long time... if ever.
